Apple’s big galaxy-spanning sci-fi returns in July with a 152-year time jump, a terrifying new villain, and just enough Jared Harris to keep us emotionally stable.
Andor who? I kid, of course. Foundation has probably been my favourite show of the past few years, but Andor would definitely give it a very good run for its money.
Foundation will return for its third season on July 11, jumping a staggering 152 years ahead from season two’s heavy finale. (If you need a quick catch-up, ScreenRant has a ripper rundown.)
The story’s time leap propels us into anticipated new territory, featuring the scary bastard we’d been warned about: The Mule.
Armed with massive mental powers and a killer beard, the Mule poses an unprecedented threat that looks likely to force an alliance between the Foundation and the Cleon Dynasty.

Today’s trailer shows a few returning favourites, with Gaal Dornick out front again as the key to challenging the Mule’s devastating reign.
Hari Seldon’s still there to guide humanity through chaos and upheaval, underlining the grand scale of his ambitious plan. And frankly I don’t think I could do without Jared Harris in the show, although Lee Pace does keep it thrilling.
As before, Foundation season 3 promises more impressive visuals, expansive storytelling, and deeper character arcs.
