I’ve been desperate to visit the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto, but for now I’ll have to live it through Alex’s review!
You won’t see many shots from deep inside the museum, because, as Alex points out, you’re not allowed to take photos of the exhibits.
Such a Nintendo thing to do… 💴
But, if you check out Nintendo’s own video below, you’ll get a glimpse of what to expect at the museum – as described by Shigeru Miyamoto himself!
It’s not easy to get into the Museum, either.
As Alex notes in his review, you enter your preferred dates and times into a lottery system, and at the end of each month, lucky winners get the chance to buy a ticket for 3,300 yen (about $34 AUD).
Nintendo says the lottery helps manage demand for visits to the museum, housed in a former Nintendo factory, avoiding chaos that would arise from a first-come, first-served system. Of course, it also makes planning flights and accommodation a little stressful… such is life, I guess!
