An all-time underrated ’90s cartoon is back, this time as a video game, with the Samurai Pizza Cats hitting “all major platforms”
To mark the 35th anniversary of the beloved TMNT-aping westernised anime Samurai Pizza Cats, developers Blast Zero and Red Dunes Games have revealed a first look at their upcoming Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast From the Past.
This new video game, coming to all major platforms, is a 2D action-RPG that brings back the original English voice cast, including Rick Jones, Sonja Ball, and Terrence Scammell.
The game allows players to switch between Speedy Cerviche, Polly Esther, and Guido Anchovy, each with unique abilities for combat and puzzle-solving within the vibrant setting of Little Tokyo.

For now, Blast From the Past game is described as being in early development, with a release date set for the far-off future of sometime in 2026.
The announcement trailer shows a glimpse of the gameplay and the return of the iconic voice actors, promising a nostalgic experience for fans.
Watch the series!
I don’t know how given it’s got streaming licensing with Crunchy Roll, but you can watch all 52 episodes on YouTube right here. (Hurry, before it gets taken down! Although it’s been up for nine years…)
