If I can’t trust my friends for this sort of information, are they truly friends?

It leaked a while ago, but according to bricksup.co.uk, it’s now official: Lego’s 76968 Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex – a big but not too big 3145-piece display kit – will launch on March 1, 2025.
I’m not so sure that it’s official just yet, though. If you search for 76968 on lego.com, you get a gif of Nedry saying “you didn’t say the magic word”. Jerk.
Bricks Up says the 18+ set will be priced at $249.99 USD ($395 AUD) / €249.99 / £219.99. That’s a big chunk of change, but I mean, just look at it.

Measuring a massive 105 cm long and 33 cm tall, this tan/light beige masterpiece is a museum-worthy recreation, complete with a buildable stand and a golden Jurassic Park information plaque.
It’s a significant step up from the previous 76964 T. Rex Head set, now offering a full skeletal build.
And, most importantly for the ’90s kids, this kit pays homage to the original (and best) Jurassic Park film, with minifigs of Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Sattler.
The new Jurassic World Rebirth film hits cinemas in July, so I’d expect even more releases in this Lego line.
Will you be adding this colossal T. Rex to your collection? Do you have any Lego dino kits already?
