It’s milled from a single piece of aluminium, but as my friend Dan puts it: “This is an Apple camera… but not as pretty as the one they’d actually build”.

I’ve woken to the news of Sigma’s latest effort at cameras, the Sigma BF. As a lens company, Sigma is top-shelf, but their cameras have ever had the feel of weirdly experimental – and the BF doesn’t seem to move the needle much on that idea.
UPDATE: Petapixel’s got the quote… it turns out, BF stands for “beautiful foolishness”.
I like it. Good on Sigma for owning their folly. We’re in the good place when there’s a camera for everybody (apart from the absence of any true rival to my GRIIIx).

REVIEWS
There are no full reviews yet, and so far I’ve found only one decent video walkthrough, courtesy of Gordon Laing. See below.
PSA: Don’t search YouTube for “Sigma BF” without putting “camera” on the end, or you’ll be getting a foul reminder of the ‘sigma male’ phenomenon in the form of ‘sigma boyfriend’ videos…
