The detail work on this working 2003 Hellboy prop is incredible

The work in this movie prop, especially including the use of 3D printing way back in 2003, is just incredible.

And the compliment he relates from Guillermo Del Toro is brilliant 😂

I honestly had no idea that 3D printing was a thing in 2003. They used a Stratus Titan, which I can only assume came with with a built-in sundial for estimated completion times.

The fingers are amazing, but man, the chain winch thingy that you see when the hand pops off the wrist is just epic.
